PLEASE HELP!!!!! My 3 month is a perfect angel, as long as someone is holding him-?
but if we set him down for even a minute hes screaming his head off to be picked back up again. I thought it might be a medical problem but the doctors could find nothing wrong with him (all 6 of them). They all told me that he just likes attention. Well great, but i cant ever get anything done like housework or errands bc he constantly has to be held. Is there anyway to break him of this? Im going insane, please help!
But when i put him down he starts screaming his head off. I have taken him to doctors wondering if its medical and they all say hes fine. I cant get anything done unless i am holding him which makes things hundreds of times harder. He also doesnt like our sling (he tries to wriggle out of it) and our baby carrier, he just screams. Im going insane! please help!
Its a phase my daughter went through the same thing. Try getting a sling or whatever like a previous answer suggested or do stuff when hes asleep because as soon as he starts crawling around and walking he’ll rarely want to be held so enjoy it now. It doesn’t hurt and actually helps to build his self esteem and confidence.

Buy a sling or carrier and wear him in it. He will feel secure and you can get work done. Babies natural instinct is to want to be safe, and safety is when you are holding him. Don’t bother trying to break him of this instinct. Just wear him as much as you can during the day.
He will start to gain independence as he learns to sit up unassited and crawl.
When he’s in the sling or carrier are you walking around or standin still? My son took a little while to get used to it. I would try it again and bounce and walk around and put your arms around him like you are holding him.

ok, here comes the tuff love part!! break him out of the habit NOW. sit his little tush down and let him cry. its going to break ur heart, but all will be okay!! he will soon realize, his crying doesnt always work to his advantage. gudluck

I am going through the same thing. I realized all you can do is go with the flow. When he is old enough to play with toys and do things on his own he will begin to venture off on his own. Don’t worry. It gets better!

I had the same problem with mine until I took him to the doctor and found out he had acid reflux problems. Turns out that when we put him down he would scream because he had acid from his stomach burning his esophogus.
Makes me sad to think about it now because we didn’t know for about 2 months. The doctor put him on prevacid and about a week later he was sleeping by himself in his crib and would play on the floor like "normal" babies. You might get that checked out and see if that is the case with your babe.upwardbound | Jun 29, 2009
Well here goes. Put him down and let him cry. NO baby has ever been hurt by crying. After he has stopped for a few minutes talk to him or hold him then. This will only last a few days and he will be fine. YOU have to be strong it will be OK.
